How does the design and prototyping process start?
We begin with a free, no-obligation discussion to understand your idea, problem, or part requirements. You can share sketches, photos, or physical parts—whatever you have. From there, we outline the design approach, timeline, and estimated cost before any work begins.
What do I need to provide for you to start designing?
Anything you already have helps: measurements, rough drawings, inspiration photos, or the original part if you want it reverse engineered. If you’re unsure, don’t worry—just explain your goal, and we’ll guide you through the rest.
How long does a typical project take?
Simple designs may be completed within a few days, while more complex prototypes or multi-part assemblies can take several weeks. We’ll give you a clear timeframe once the scope is defined, and keep you updated throughout the process.
Can I request changes during the design stage?
Absolutely. Each project includes at least two revision rounds, and additional changes are easy to accommodate. We’ll work with you until the design meets your functional and aesthetic needs.
What if I need multiple prototypes or materials?
We offer a wide range of materials and can print as many units as you need. Additional prototypes or manufactured pieces beyond the initial scope can be produced quickly at transparent, per-unit costs.
Who owns the final CAD file or design?
Under our hybrid licensing model, you receive full rights to use and reproduce the final part. We retain ownership of the base CAD model, but you can purchase full ownership if needed. This keeps standard projects affordable while still giving you flexibility.
